Four bags were purchased and attached to the side rails with large headed pop rivets along the top edge of the bag. In the bags, I carry tools, maps, headsets, batteries, rags,
oil, tie-downs, etc. You can really carry a lot in a Chinook + 2. Interior is black to help reduce reflections. Stick mounted GPS is used for navigation. Red light means
I am transferring fuel while flying. Radio Shack push to talk buttons in the stick gave me problems, as they didn't last. This one works best. Shoes by Haband.
Without doors, rain is not much of a problem while flying. All the water just blows over the cockpit and you really don't get wet. If it rains while you are stopped on the
ground, it is a different story. Rain causes your seat to fill with water and some very wet instruments. I carry a cheap $1 plastic tarp and a roll of electrical tape to cover the
cockpit and gas caps.
